Banjos Bead House has been a family owned and operated business since its doors were opened in 2003. In February 2013 the business was purchased by Lynda and Denise. We have an interest in craft that spans three generations and we are developing our business based on customer service and quality products and services that we hope will exceed your expectations.

Lynda Taylor, Co-Owner and Creative Chief, has been interested in craft of all kinds since her primary school days. During her professional career she held several design related positions. In 2003 she discovered beading and thought it a great hobby to provide a creative outlet away from her then stressful job in IT. Since that time she mastered many jewellery techniques and designed one off pieces for family, bridal parties and other clients who wanted something special to go with a particular outfit. She is known for her beautiful hand sewn beaded jewellery. Owning a beading shop is a long held dream come true and Lynda is enjoying expanding the collection at Banjos Bead House and providing advice to customers, teaching and sharing her love of hand made creations.			Denise Taylor, Co-Owner and Operations Chief and mother of Lynda, has also been interested in craft of all kinds since her maternal grandmother taught her to knit and sew when she was about 6. She studied sewing at school and took her love of craft into her career as a primary school teacher. For most of her life she has rarely been without a craft project on the go. Denise has only been beading since 2012 but is learning fast and wishing she had taken it up years ago. When it comes to sewing on crystals her prior craft skills come in handy. Children’s parties are her specialty as Denise really enjoys working with children.
Glen Yeaman, Lynda’s grandmother, has passed on her skills and love of craft. You name it and she can sew, knit or crochet it. In her eighties now she has taken up beading and is learning fast. She is a wiz at sewing on crystals and has offered her services for dance costume repairs.			Stephen Taylor, father of Lynda, is an architect with a keen interest in photography and Apple computers and iPads. He has used his photography skills to photograph jewellery pieces, beads and findings for display on the website. He offers his photography and IT skills free of charge to regular customers.

 

Banjos Bead House carries quality brands such as TierraCast, Griffin, Beadsmith, Beadalon, Preciosa, Toho and Miyuki (also known as Maria George Delicas). In addition we are building our range of beautiful stone, glass and wooden beads; and our collection of leather and beads for children. We endeavour to find interesting and different findings and beads.

Lynda has metal allergies and personally tests all of our products before putting them on sale. She ensures that all of the products we purchase are lead, nickel and cadmium free, thus making our range of metal products suitable for people suffering from metal allergies. 

We test all of the products we offer to ensure that they meet our quality standards.
