Facebook Friday - Flat Cellini Spiral Necklace

Author: Lynda Taylor   Date Posted:29 September 2018

In the fourth and final project for Seed Bead September 2018, Lynda took on a personal challenge to try new stitch technique - the Flat Celini Spiral, this is a variation of peyote using a number of different sized beads in order to create a wave effect.

Lynda has long admired the Celini Spiral and decided to take on the flat version before attempting the full spiral. Based off a pattern from Facet Jewellery Blog Lynda created her own colour mix and set off to learn this stitch. The pattern is still available on the blog and can be viewed here.

The live video highlights the different beads used including a new to the shop collection Miyuki Hex Delica. Lynda showed off her work in progress on this piece as well as how changing beads changes the shape whilst working.

Please note that the photo shown is of the work compelted this piece at the time the blog was posted.

Hey Lynda, Just wanted to say congrats on your place at the Sydney Easter Show your entries are amazing works of art. I am making a beaded cuff bracelet for my daughters wedding in June and only hope that mine is half as good as the work you have done in both entries. Once again congratulations. Kindest Regards Trudy
