Cotton Pearls
Cotton Pearls are tightly compressed, spun cotton beads, dipped in a pearl lacquer. They were invented in the mid-19th century. During the Art Deco era, multi-layered, pearl necklaces became popular, however the weight of these pearl necklaces made them uncomfortable to wear. To address this concern, light-weight Cotton Pearl beads were used.
